“Mr. Longbottom? Is there anything else to do when it’s time?”
Sherlock asked softly at the boy coming in.
The sky outside was dark. Although the curfew had not begun, it was obviously not too late to Felch arrest people.
Neville seemed to have not recovered from a cold state. His face showed an abnormal pale look, and he looked sick.
“Teacher, professor…”
He said hesitantly.
“Can I ask you a curse?”
Hearing his words, Sherlock frowned slightly, and he felt that Neville was not only in his body, but even in his heart seemed to be a little abnormal.
“Of course, but if you have any spells, you should ask me for advice?”
“Yes, it’s the flame curse. When I use it, I can’t use it. I feel that the method of waving the stick is a bit wrong. But, I can’t find the feeling mentioned in the book.”
Neville’s voice was very small, not much louder than the sound of a mosquito, but he clearly described the reason why he couldn’t use his spell, obviously as if he had carefully studied the flame curse.
Sherlock did not directly answer his question, but asked calmly.
“The flame curse doesn’t seem to be a curse that needs to be mastered in the second grade?”
Neville wanted to show calmness, but his tender acting skills still made Sherlock notice his dodging eyes.
“The weather has become colder and colder recently, and the fireplace in the lounge is always extinguished, so I want to learn the flame curse. When the fireplace is extinguished again, we don’t have to ask seniors for help.”
His reasons seem reasonable, but in fact they are very far-fetched.
Even if Sherlock did not see Neville’s previous abnormal behavior, he could hear that this was not his truth at all.
Gryffindorneville is an alien. Among the group of little lions, he seems to be the timid one, and he seems to never show off in front of others.
So what he said just now was not something that his character could do.
“Is this the truth? Mr. Longbottom.” Sherlock stared into Neville’s eyes, and his dodging gaze fled from his eyes.
Hearing his doubts, Neville seemed to grit his teeth and was under some pressure, and finally said.
“Yes, professor, I’m just interested in the flame curse and want to raise the fireplace.”
Sherlock quietly looked at his eyes. Neville insisted on not avoiding this time, and there was a trace of indelible firmness in his weakness.
After a long silence, Sherlock finally shook his head gently.
“Okay, you can use the flame spell you have practiced normally to show me.”
Neville looked at Sherlock gratefully, and quickly used the flame spell casting gesture he had been practicing in front of Sherlock, asking him to help correct the movement.
“This wave cannot be raised too high, and the hands must be kept stable and there must be no trembling. In this way, the flame spell released can be stable and there will be no flames burning to yourself.”
Sherlock specially studied these commonly used spells for so long, of course it is professional.
It was easy to point out the flaws in Navi’s spell casting gestures and correct his pronunciation.
Neville looked a little clumsy, but he studied quite seriously, more serious than ever.
Under Sherlock’s little by little guidance, he finally mastered the flame curse before the curfew began.
